"640K ought to be enough for anybody," stated Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates in 1981. What does 640K mean? For many audiences this term would mean nothing to them, but for many computer wizards they not only know the term they know why it is not enough today. Terminology in writing custom essays or term papers on technology must be broken down so different audiences understand what it means.

If a student was writing an essay on ATM, many audiences might think about the banking ATM cards that are available. However, students studying technology would recognize the term ATM as Asynchronous Transfer Mode as the backbone of technology. The various features of ATM make the latest technology possible to use. When a student writes a research paper on this topic, it is vital to spell out the meaning of this term and not just use the abbreviation.

Another example of how confusion could be created using technical terms can be seen in this example: "There are two major products that came out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence," stated Jeremy S. Anderson. Most people checking the dictionary would find that LSD is the least significant digit but these terms are computer terms that are quite technical to understand.

Technical terms such as hardware, IT management, computer networking, security, and software need to be defined. For example, a person writing an essay on networking might think about networking that helps a person get the right contact and often a foot in the door with different jobs. However, computer networking is quite different.

"Any science or technology which is sufficiently advanced is indistinguishable from magic," stated Arthur C. Clarke. Benjamin Franklin and other scientists know that electricity does not run by magic, but many people accept electricity and other technology even though they do not understand how they work. The various technical terms of technology must be broken down for people to understand....
