PROBLEM SOLVING WITHIN KUDLER FINE FOODS

      Kudler Fine Foods (KFF) was established in 1998 by Kathy Kudler.   This business is a gourmet food shop that sales a variety of perishable food products at a reasonable price.   Kathy has three locations which she visits and orders product for on weekly bases. Each store has a manager, assistant manager, and a food specialist who Kathy employed to improve the overall productivity of her businesses.   Kudler Fine Foods is a flourishing business which is independently owned and operated, but the buildings are leased.   The mission statement for KFF is as follows: “Kudler Fine Foods is committed to providing our customers with the finest selection of the very best foods and wines so that your culinary visions can come true” (University of Phoenix, 2003).   The problem that will be discusses in this paper is how Kudler Fine Foods can expand by opening new locations and maintain its mission statement?
      Kudler Fine Foods is a small organization with no direct completion in a productive location.   The businesses are located in mid-to-upper class areas where the client base can afford the produces provided.   Kathy maintains a personal relationship with her staff by interacting with them weekly during store visits.   The store is very customer oriented which yields to a high customer return and an established reputation in the neighborhoods.   Kathy has managed to provide a diverse variety of wines, chesses, fruits and vegetables that are not found in even the major chains of grocery stores.   Kathy’s businesses are a true refection of her mission statement.   However, to expand and still maintain the same mission statement at all store locations will require some restructuring and preplanning.
      The key to expanding this company is to locate areas that can afford and have a need for KFF...
