Present Career, a Career Interest, and the Value of a College Education
This paper discusses my present career, a little history about how I started my present career, when I decided to start my present career, and a little background about my previous career.   Then I will discuss my career interest that is associated with my present career. Finally, I will discuss the value of college education.
Present career
I have been for ever and a day in love with Restaurants and Hotels, started way back in my early chilled-hood.   I used to always love to go out to restaurants and hotels. Indeed, I enjoyed every minute I spent at either place.   Upon the completion of the College Associate Degree, I decided to get a job at “Denny’s” restaurants.   I applied at the restaurants district office and I was hired.   I worked for thirteen years as Denny’s restaurant manager.   I have had worked myself all the way from the bottom of the scale to the highest position that I wanted to achieve.   Believing, and trusting on my, ability, devotion, hardworking, consistency, and my inspiration.
I was studying, and educating myself for a year, prior to my crucial decision of changing my career, from managing restaurant to the computer field.   I started to teach myself and read the required books on my own, which was an extreme challenge, and a complicated task, for a fresh, naive student, who knows nothing about computers.   The reason was, as the sole “Bread-winner.”   I could not afford school tuitions, nor had the time to go to school, due to the fact of family with two children’s demands’ and responsibility. Therefore, the decision of starting with a professional job search agency was the most logical and proper alternative solution to solve my catch-22 situation, based on my limited and weak options to choose from.   My search strategy was to ask around, based on my limited knowledge at that time.   Unfortunately, I did not have the proper search knowledge, nor I found the correct way to...
