The tale of a humbug Christmas
The performance on the 18 December 2008 was exquisite, entertaining and met to the standards of the Shakespeare's Novel.
The posters were elegant, fancy and somehow explained the idea of the play, the tickets were well designed, I personally am a ticket collector and this specific ticket was awarded a special place in my collection , the programs where distributed equally and it was designed in style although the font was small and somehow could not be read properly.
Another thing that caught my attention was the fact of a well organized entrance of the crowd and a fast, smooth and quit seating this was due to the fact of experienced and helpful ushers. The ushers were dressed elegantly from the Victorian era with the same haircuts which from the atmosphere there had token us to a trip to the Victorian era.
The setting was magnificent it described what Christmas is all about, the stage was divided into 3 scrooges the Christmas tree, then the roundabout platform that had both Cratchits home and scrooge counting house (office) I thought because it was an external exam they made good use of the space, and turned the stage into a Christmas carol and just by looking at the stage you can sense the spirit of Christmas, the costumes where excellent and where nicely made brought back the essence of the Victorian era to life, along with the nicely combined colours, the lighting was brilliant and so where the props and explained what Christmas carol was all about there was some interesting technique like breaking the fourth wall and the interactions of the extras in some of the scenes, the furniture was nicely organized and put in place , the tree was beautifully accessorized with presents on the floor and lights turning on and off.
The music was amazing and it went along and described what this play is all about which is feeling the Christmas spirit, there was a lot songs that described scenes from the play. And that put you one time in...
