Printable Version E-mail to a Friend APA | MLA | | Steroids
Have you ever heard of a drug called steroids? Well if you have heard about this drug it’s most likely to be around sports. Steroids are a synthetic version of the male hormone testosterone, which causes a person to look very strong and have very ripped muscles. I think that steroids should be illegal to buy and sell.
Steroids should be illegal to buy and sell. Changes should occur by making steroids illegal to buy and sell since they cause many problems, one is that they cause many problems with health, they can also be very addicting, and are banned in all levels of sports.
Steroids cause many health issues. Yes they do make a person looked very ripped and strong, but they are actually hurting you, you just don’t realize this. Steroids can make a person feel good, but can also make someone depressed, it can also cause mood swings also know as (roid rage). Acne and excessive hair growth or loss is another side effect of steroids. Steroids can also cause liver damage and cancer, which could even cause death.
Another problem with steroids is addiction. Once people notice their muscles starting to get bigger, it motivates them to take more so they can get bigger and stronger. The reason why steroids make people stronger is because they increase the muscle mass which makes you stronger and reduces body fat.
Steroids are known as a performance enhancing drug in any level of sports, which is why they are banned in all levels of sports. The reason they are banned is because it is believed that they give that person an unfair advantage over all the other competitors. If caught using steroids in professional or collage that person will face fine and will be suspended for some time. The reason people take this drug in sports because they believe that it can make you hit the harder and longer.
Steroids should be taken off the market for customers to buy and be made illegal to sell. The reason being is because it is just a harmful drug to people who chose to take it and it gives an unfair advantage to those who take the drug over the ones who don’t.
