Mal nourishment
Animals that are Mal nourished they are under weight and dehydrated. These animals have not been given the correct food, with the correct nourishment values. Fig 1 below shows a horse that is extremely under weight.
There are different reasons for an animal to end up in this state. The owner may not have done this intentionally. They may not have understood how to take care of a horse correctly. To prevent this then the owners need to be educated about how much care an animal of this size needs and also how much it will cost too keep a horse in a good and healthy condition.
However this is also done to an animal intentionally, the owner just didn’t care and the well being of the horse they are caring for. If this sort of treatment is found to be intentional then the owner will be prosecuted as there are no excuses for letting an animal to get into this state.
In fig 1 below this horse was 700 pounds under weight. When an animal is Mal nourished like this horse above is they are more likely to catch diseases and infections a lot easier as their immune system is so low; because of this the animal is more likely to die then able to pull through because they no not have the correct immunity to fight of an infection if caught. They are also too weak to attempt to fight through.
