Nik Tate 1st Hour Mrs. Walters After School Sports Are after school sports good or bad? They are good because they get you out doing something. But they are also bad too because they interfere with school and school work. And they also interfere with your social life. Should the teacher give the students that are involved in after school sports more time to do their work? Yes, they should so they could get some of their work done before practice and before you go to bed at night. There aren’t quite enough after school activities either. Some people might not like to play sports so they want to participate in something else. Like band or orchestra you know stuff like that that they could quit any time without letting anyone down. Should students really have to be eligible to play? No, because if they are involved in after school activities then they probably won’t be able to get to their homework they are given, so they will get D’s and F’s and become ineligible. Then they won’t be able to play. Students shouldn’t have to pay to participate either. Because some people may not have enough money for their children to participate. Some of those kids may be incredible athletes too and they don’t get to play. Then that stinks for the team because they just lost a great player. Remember sports are good because they get people off their bottoms and doing something. They are also bad though, because they interfere with school and school work.
