I. History, major services, financials

David Neeleman, the chairman and CEO, founded the company JetBlue Airways in February 1999. Neeleman called the airline, "New Air". Several of JetBlue's executives, including Neeleman, are former Southwest Airlines employees. JetBlue was founded by following Southwest's approach of offering low-cost travel, but was easily distinguish itself by its unique amenities that no other airline way offering. When Neeleman establish JetBlue looks and functions, he used he mission and goals to bring humanity back to air travel. JetBlue places a $4 billion order with Airbus Industries to produce seventy-five new A320 aircraft, and commences leasing arrangements for another eight aircraft. September-1999JetBlue make home for 75 take-off and landing slots at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
