Many people may ask who Sylvia Plath is. She is a timeless poet and writer who has changed the course of depressing books. Sylvia is most famous for her book The Bell Jar that has a hint of her life in the book. Some would ask where she is now but Sylvia committed suicide in 1963, she was only 30 years old and had two children. The real question is why did Sylvia commit suicide. Sylvia committed suicide because she was depressed over her failed marriage.
Notes, poems, and pictures show a happy Sylvia, a joyful and eager to learn girl. Sylvia Plath was born October 27th, 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts to Otto and Aurelia Plath. She was brought up into a German home. Sylvia’s father being a professor at Boston University wanted Sylvia to be smart so instead of reading baby books her father pushed her to read writings about Maria Monlessori’s life and work. Sylvia had a good childhood with two loving parents and younger siblings. Statistics show people who commit suicide rarely ever have a good childhood nonetheless an awesome childhood, but Sylvia did.
As Sylvia grew into a young lady, graduated from high school, and got accepted into Smith College in North Hampton, Massachusetts.
