The Education of Frank McGrail
Education is something which in this day and age is a tool everyone should have.   A solid education will help any person do well in life, with whatever they are trying to do.   It doesn’t necessarily make you smarter, it merely teaches you ways which you can accomplish goals in your life easier.   Culture and time period are two major factors which influence the way you learn, and what you learn.   For instance, if someone grew up in the United States, the education they would receive would be far different from an education received in the Middle East; simply because of culture.   Since they grew up in the 90’s and early 21st century, they are learning far differently than someone who grew up in the 1800’s, like Fredrick Douglass.   Certain cultural literacies will help you with your education.   Perhaps you listen to music and go to the theatre.   Here you might see a play by Shakespeare and learn something about how people lived back in the middle ages.   Being born in a certain geographical area matters greatly in the culture you are subjected to.   When a child is born in the Midwest they would experience a completely different life, from that of a city dweller.   Overall, education is highly influenced by culture and the way a student is taught, can change the way he lives.
Frank McGrail was born in New York City but lived in a small suburb of the city.   Since Frank lived right near the city, he visited there many times.   Cities are melting pots for diversity and culture, they’re where everything starts.   Naturally going to the city offered Frank a very unique cultural atmosphere which he absorbed.   Frank’s parents would sometimes take him to see plays on Broadway, which really opened his mind to the world of theatre.   It sometimes made Frank think of someday trying acting.   Although he never tried, it was always an ambition of Frank’s.   On other trips to the city Frank’s parents would...
