When money is minimal, choices must be made. This is true in life and in sushi.
Yes, that’s right, even the consumption of raw fish requires serious contemplation. Is cheap sushi tasty and safe? On the other hand, is expensive sushi just overpriced fish in an unusual atmosphere? The truth will soon be revealed in this critique of one specific Japanese eatery on Chappel Drive.
There are no golden dragons on Chinese red walls here. However, there are plenty of feng shui surroundings inside Tea Tree Asian Bistro. The interior of this medium-sized restaurant is decorated with Japanese flavors in an American set-up. There are booths, tables, and a fair-sized sushi bar. TTAB’s atmosphere scores very high and they offer a unique dining experience starting right at the entry door that faces south to enhance such principles of balance, and fend off evil spirits.
This establishment is a prominent, popular Japanese restaurant located inside the Levis Commons shopping complex at 4100 Chappel Drive, in Perrysburg, Ohio.
Tea Tree Asian Bistro has an extensive amount of mouth-watering sushi; it becomes appealing only after you figure out their complicated ordering system. They give you a long sheet of paper with a list of sushi choices ranging from MAGURO (tuna) to large platters like the Una Ju (broiled eel over a bed of sushi rice, topped with sauce), and anything else you can imagine. At first, I thought the number you put down was the number of pieces you receive. My waitress, Liz, she was top-notch, excellent service; she made my experience very relaxing and comforting. My waitress informed me that one roll is two pieces of sushi, which I did not know. Although, I don’t enjoy servers frequently bugging me; my tendency to finish beverages at a reasonably fast pace doesn’t help. Being a fan of spicy entrées means I consume plenty of water, especially when the dish lives up to its name. It took...
