Bruce Lee
BRUCE Lee was born November 27 1940, and died on the 20th of July 1973.
Lee was a master of the Chinese martial arts, philosopher, instructor, and a martial arts actor. He made his own way of fighting now known as “Jeet Kune Do”. He also fathered two children named Brandon lee and Shannon lee. Bruce was in born in San Francisco California bur he was raised in Hong Kong until his late teens. He broke racial barriers for Chinese actors in Hollywood produced some films, influenced a lot martial artists of today, and is still an iconic figure of the twentieth century. Bruce lee was born in the year of the dragon. Which mean to the Chinese good luck and strength. Many opposed Bruce lee during his movies for say that street thugs, stunt men, and martial artists would challenge him to try in make a name for their selves. During” Enter the Dragon”, a karate champion named Bob Wells says that an extra taunted “lee and said that he was just a movie star not a martial artist”. Bruce responded “jump down from the wall”. In a brief moment Bruce beat the guy up but then told him how to improve his fighting. Lee was introduced into the art by his father lee hoi cheun. He learned the basics of tai chi chuan from his father. Also trained by YIP MAN, from ages 13 to 18 from yip man. He also learned western boxing, fencing, and with all this exposes from different arts would help him create jeet kune do. Lee set sights and goals on becoming one of the fittest strongest fighters of the world. Lee researched many art forms in his life time and what he didn’t find useful he rejected. Lee boxed in the 1959 boxing championships held between different Hong Kong high schools. During the tournament he beat the three time champion form another school (a French boy).
