Breakfast At Tiffany's

{draw:g}   The book is called “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and is by Truman Capote. It’s about a young writer, whose name is never stated, reminiscing his memories of a girl he’d come to known a few years back. The girl was Holly Golightly, a call girl that lived in his apartment building. There is a mention of the prison Sing Sing, and Joe Bell’s bar, on the corner of Lexington Avenue, and the story sometimes occurs on the streets of New York. Holly lives below the narrator, and to see each other they sometimes climb up and down the fire escape to each other’s homes. The narrator’s place is well decorated, fully furnished and fashionable. Contrary to his, Holly’s apartment only had suitcases and unpacked crates, vthat were also used for tables.   The story is told in first person, by a man that remains anonymous throughout the story. It is told with the insight of only one mind, and he tells it from his point of view, describing how he felt and what he thought about certain situations.   One of the main characters is the narrator, though there is very little information given about him. Holly refers to him as “Fred” because she says that he looks like her brother, who is very tall, and near the end he’s called Buster. We never learn...
