"This site is hellacious and outstanding!!"

I chose the poem "And They Obey" by Carl Sandburg. The poem is
addressing the human dualities that we have. Since thousands of years ago
we have had the ability to destroy but were also blessed with the ability
to create. After the first couple of thousand years passed we became
more civalized in the eyes of society, but with this came the ability of mass
destruction. and mass creation. Since there has been war, upon war, upon
war, people killing people and people killing off plants and animals. In this
present day and age we have a greater system of government and more
control over society. There are still murders, wars, and endangered plants
and animals. There is even greater ability for mass destruction and
creations. The diffeence among the ages of our "evolution" is when we
were uncivilized and scattered we destroued and created when it was
nessesary, then it turned into when we wanted something or over petty
differences, now we destroy when we are told to because of a difference in
beliefs. We will destroy when we are told and then we turn around and
create and rebuild what we have destroyed. So as you see we are the they
in the poem and we will obey.
